Militia of homosexuals to fight ISIS in Raqqa

(Zaman Al Wasl)- The International Revolutionary People’s Guerilla Forces (IRPGF), Western militia fighting ISIS in Raqqa, has formed a brigade of 'homosexual' fighters to fight against the Islamic State forces in Raqqa.

The militia that fights under the banner of the U.S.-backed Syrian Democratic Forces, said via its official Twitter account, “These Faggots Kills Fascists! We shoot back! The Black and Pink and Rainbow flag fly in Raqqa.

In the same tweet, the militia said, “Queers smashing the Caliphate.” The militia previously announced the formation of the brigade formed by queer fighters announcing “The Formation of the Queer Liberation and Insurrection Army” (TQILA), a splinter group from the IRPGF.

The IRPGF militia published images on June 18 of its fighters dressed in People Protection Units uniforms, the military wing of the Democratic Union Party, during the fight against the Islamic State in Raqqa.

The foreign militia indicated that it previously participated in the battle for al-Tabaqa in May before joining the fight for Raqqa.

The militia describes itself on its social media pages as the “International Revolutionary People’s Guerilla Forces – to destroy the Islamic State in Rojava (Northern Syria) and elsewhere.”

Members of this militia appeared in April 2017 firing shots at the picture of Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko as an act of solidarity with the Belarusian people. They expressed their willingness to fight against state in the world.

The Democratic Union Party announced the formation of a brigade that includes foreign non-Kurdish fighters in 2015. The brigade was called “International Freedom” and these fighters began engaging in battles on fronts as an independent military formation. They took a camp in Ras al-Ayn, northern al-Hasakah as their headquarters.
