U.S.-led air strikes kill 8 people, including 4 Nusra Front fighters, in Idlib

U.S.-led coalition air strikes on Tuesday have killed 8 people, including 4 Nusra Front fighters, in northern province of Idlib, activists said.

The joint task force overseeing the air strikes has not yet adopted the attack that targeted Nusra Front members in Kafr Hend village near Salqeen town.

Tuesday's statement by the task force said the United States and its allies conducted 23 air strikes against Islamic State forces in Iraq and nine in Al Hasakah and Aleppo on Monday in the latest round of daily attacks on the militant group, according to Reuters.

In its turn, Syrian regime air strikes have killed 11 people, including a child and 7 women, in Qalat al Madiq city in Hama province, the Syrian Network for human Rights said.

Meanwhile, Syria’s strongest allied group, the Fatah Army, has made rapid advance in the western countryside of Idlib and nearby Sahl al-Ghab plain in Hama province, taking control of 12 hills and villages and inflicting humiliating defeats on Syrian regime army, activists and rebel sources said on Tuesday.

The new major offensive by the alliance of Islamist groups, including the Nusra Front and Islamic Ahrar al-Sham movement, seized control of most of Idlib countryside, only few months since the (Army of Conquest) captured Idlib city, Ariha and Jisr al-Shughour towns.
