    US-led airstrikes kill 10 civilians, including 5 children, west of Raqqa

    (Zaman Al Wasl)- US-led coalition airstrikes killed 10 civilians, including 5 children, west of Raqqa, the de facto capital of the Islamic State, activists said Sunday.

    Half of the victims were members of a displaced family that fled Eastern Aleppo to Raqqa.

    Meanwhile, Syria Democratic Forces took al-Karma town east of Raqqa as the US-formed and backed alliance seeks to expel ISIS from the powerful stronghold.

    SDF launched last November The Euphrates Wrath military operation to encircle ISIS in Raqqa. Since then SDF has captured tens of villages in the eastern and western countryside, pressing further to Euphrates banks.
