    Nilesat suspends Deir Zour channel over claims of Supporting Al Qaeda


    Nilesat Company has suspended broadcasting of Deir Zour, private satellite channel as unilateral procedure violates terms of the contract signed with the Company, TV crew told Zaman Alwasl.

    Nilesat has accused the channel of supporting terrorism, especially Al Qaeda affiliated, Al Nusra Front.

    The Saudi-based channel is directed by modest staff and equipment. It receives footage and reports from small basement in the embattled city of Deir Zour.  

    The channel management has asked the Egyptian Nilesat to refrain its decision as soon as possible.
