Three children killed in regime airstrikes on Eastern Ghouta

(Zaman Al Wasl)- Family of four, including 3 children, killed in fresh air strikes on besieged Eastern Ghouta suburbs, local activists said on Friday.

The strikes targeted the district of Hammouriya topping the death toll to 135 in a week of heavy bombardment on the Sunni enclave of eastern Damascus.

The shelling and bombardment of besieged Ghouta, where the humanitarian conditions have sharply deteriorated in recent months, has also claimed a heavy toll on civilians.

More than 470,000 people have been killed and 12 millions have been driven from their homes since Syria's revolutions erupted in 2011.
