Syrian regime on Wednesday mourned the general commander of special forces, the powerful Syrian army unit, who died of his wounds after leading the battles against Islamist rebels in the town of Jisr al-Shughour northern Syria.
M. General Muhi al-Din Mansour, who led Syrian elite forces, had big history of blind loyalty to Assad family, father and son, since the eighties of last century.
Mansour, who was born in Safita town of Tartus, one of Bashar al-Assad's Alawite strongholds, was unable to escape shells of Fatah Army fighters in Jisr al-Shughour.
