''Our duty is to protect civilians by all means until topple of Bashar al-Assad where we can build the civil state,'' one of 'Civilians Protection Authority' founders said.
Lieutenant Col. Mohammed Bakkour, leader of al-Ansar brigade, has introduced the military body, which was founded by rebel brigades, as an independent national authority that works alongside with the Syrian Free Army (FSA) and provides Relief work, Civil Service and Humanitarian Aid.
''We have to
protect the public properties and liberate it from the pro- Assad militias,
besides communicating and cooperating with media and human rights organizations
in documenting the crimes committed by the Assad regime,'' Bakkour added.
Everyone has the right to defend him or herself but controlling
the spread of weapon is an important task for us, Bakkour stressed.
The authority has participated in many military operations
in Aleppo, like liberating Police school, Millis, Khan Alasal, Brigade 46 and
al-Rashidin. It provides humanitarian
assistance in relief work and in delivering the medical aid to the field
hospitals as well as working with rebels to break Homs siege.
Civilians Protection Authority consisted of many brigades
as 'banner of Ansar Alkhilafa,
Amjad Al-Islam, Asood Al-Islam
brigade, the banner of Muawiyah, the banner of nasar Alkalamon, the banner of
Khalid bin Waleed, the banner of Syoof
Al-Islam, Alkarama, and other brigades.
