Syrian army issued new wanted list includes 21000 defectors

A new wanted list issued by Syrian regime army and leaked to the media has included names of 21000 defectors who escaped fighting in the ranks of Bashar al-Assad forces.

Unconfirmed figures say around 100,000 soldiers and militants loyal to al-Assad have been killed in four-year armed conflict.

the list has also included named of  600 army defectors from Assad's hometown of Qardaha.

The newly high record of defectors has reflected the amounting outrage of Assad’s fellow Alawite sect, especially in his hometown of Qardaha near Latakia.

Syria's conflict began in March 2011 as popular protests against four decades of Assad family rule but changed into armed insurgency under a security force crackdown.

Meanwhile, More than 230,000 people killed and over 12 million forced to flee their homes.
