Syrians escaping death to Italy, get humiliated

A group of activists broadcasted a video on Youtube showing Syrian refugees detained in a closed place in the Italian City, Katanya. The refugees told a group of Italian and Arab activists they were abused by the Italian Authorities.

A group of Syrian children spoke to a media activist according to Eqtsad,  Zaman Alwasl Business website, that their parents were abused, and that some Syrian women were forced to take off their hijabs. Also, two men were beaten which caused one to break his leg and another to break his arm.

Another group of Syrian adults who were detained was trying to talk to media, but Italian police did not allow them. The group then started screaming to grab the attention of the activists, and one of the detainee screamed saying, "Bashar Al-assad is more honorable than you!"

The video shows the Italian activists demonstrating outside the detention place asking for a better treatment for the Syrian refugees. T

The Italian Authorities moved the detained refugees to a place that was not disclosed in the video.

The Syrians detained were a group of illegal migrants who fled the war to Italy. Recently, many Syrians got detained while trying to enter Italy illegally through the sea. A number of them drowned near the southern shores of Italy.

Another recent case of Syrian illegal migration to Italy ended up by police rescuing a migrant's boat heading to South Lampedusa. The island has scarce resources and a refuge for approximately 900 migrants.

However, there is little sympathy or none by some Italian concerning the conditions of the migrants. Some ask the police to defend Italy against the Muslims who fled their country and invading theirs. Some opinions voice more hatred as those are our enemies and they threaten us and the corrupt politicians should put an end to Muslims coming from their torn countries to take refuge in the West or to reestablish their countries in the West.
