Zaman Alwasl reporter under threat by Muslim Brotherhood

In a sudden behavior  Nazir Hakim, National Coalition member and prominent figure in the Muslim Brotherhood movement , has accused Zaman-Alwasl reporter in Turkey of spying for Assad's regime interest and reporting news that contributed to execute two of his men

"Two men have been executed because of you," Hakim shouted in the face of Lma Shammas, during her covering to the Coalition meetings last week in Istanbul, on Tuesday, 28 May,
Shammas left the meeting immediately avoiding to any argument with Hakim, but the Coalition member didn't stop at that point, he inquired for her personal details and other data from other colleagues.

Zaman Alwasl asks  the Coalition in general, the Muslim Brotherhood and the Turkish authorities to carry responsibility in protecting our correspondents, and to deplore this kind of acts and practices.

It was astonishing  also,  neglecting the complaint by the interim  President of the Coalition  George Sabra who did not lift a finger.

Zaman Alwasl condemns Verbal violence and accusations of high-risk. "We assured to file a claim to the Turkish police regarding the incident and the accusations by al-Hakim as a person and against the coalition as well as he is a member of it."

Zaman stressed on freedom of expression standards. Also, it will report the assault to the International Human Rights organizations to protect journalists, and reveal to them the circumstances of the incident to be put in their reports to the relevant bodies in this regard.

"We always have to ask ourselves whether the level of risk is worth the story,"  Marie Colvin said before passing away in Homs 22 February 2012 by regime shells. "What is bravery, and what is bravado? Journalists covering combat shoulder great responsibilities and face difficult choices. Sometimes they pay the ultimate price."

Hakim is a university professor in Electronics, the president of the European Institute for Humanity Studies in Paris, and general manager of Al-Kendi private school in Paris. He is also the technical manager for ST fine electronics company.
