Translation by Yusra Ahmed

(Zaman Al Wasl- Hasaka)- Bulldozers supported by a military patrol belonged to Democratic Union Party (PYD), had on Saturday dredged 10 houses of Arab residents in south neighbourhoods in the city of Tal-Tamer in Khabour area to the West of Hasaka province.

Mohamed al-Sahem from the tribe of alsharabin told Zaman al-Wasl via a phone call that a patrol of (PYD) had accompanied two bulldozers to the southern neighbourhood of Tal-Tamer as they ordered them to demolish 10 houses for the family of Mahmoud, which belongs to al-Sahem clan of Alsharabin tribe .

He added that houses were already abandoned by their family and fled to Turkey few years ago after clashes between the (PYD) and members of the Arab tribe in April 2013, only an old lady stayed, cried painfully on the ruins of the houses, while her husband tries to comfort her.

In a 22-page report, the Syrian Network for Human Rights said abuses against Arabs, Turkmen and Assyrians had been taking place in Al-Hasakah province since February.

The report said the group was attempting to justify its actions as part of the war against Daesh in the same way the Syrian regime talked about its actions as part of a war on terrorism.

Al-Sahem explained that members of the party had prevented people from even watching their houses during demolishing and turning them into barriers in southern of the city.

Lately, incidence of night raids by (PYD) have been repeated on houses of the Arab people in the city of Tal-Tamer and Alasforieh and "Tal-Hafian, while they prevented people of Alagibish town from returning back, under claims that militants of the Islamic State have sneaked to the region, which forced dozens of families to flee their homes and establish a temporary camp on Tal-Hamma, to avoid entering the city and the humiliation and beating they exposed in their homes by members of patrols, according to local sources.

Listing more than 70 villages that had been forcibly evacuated, the network said tens of thousands of people -- mostly Arabs -- had been displaced by the YPG.

It said the YPG had been forcing people away from their homes from the "very first day of its establishment" and said the "forced migration policy" had been recently intensified.

According to the report, the YPG have killed 47 civilians, including eight women and nine children, in the last six months and detained 612 people, including 19 children.

Villages have been destroyed, crops burned or stolen and fields leveled with bulldozers in a bid to force people away from their homes.

Elements of the Islamic State had on February attacked sites controlled by (PYD) for more than a year, when it invaded 14 Assyrian villages and Alagibish town, then the party regained them with the support of the US-led alliance air strikes, which caused almost complete destruction of houses.

Democratic Union party have control the city of Tal-Tamer in 2013, after clashes with fighters from the Arab Tribes which refused the Kurdish control in April 2013. Clashes resulted in dozens of deaths from both sides especially in the battle near Ain al-Abed village on the road between Tal-Tamer and Tal- Bader.

Tal-Tamer is inhibited by Arabs and Assyrians, but Kurds settled in it decades ago. It is part of Hasaka Province, situated to the north Abdel-Aziz Mountain, near Ras-Alain area.

The network said the 8,000 Turkmen in Al-Hasakah province had all been exposed to human rights abuses.

It added that the YPG prevented people from returning home and looted and destroyed evacuated homes.
