The footage shows some of the casualties of the chemical attack that has targeted the outskirts of Damascus. Throughout the footage, primitive ways of treating the casualties (e.g. water spraying) and symptoms of chemical exposure (e.g. muscle spasms and shortness of breath) can be noticed. In 21st August of 2013, the Assad regime has committed the largest bloodless massacre since the start of the Syrian revolution using internationally prohibited chemical weapons (most likely sarin nerve agent). More than ten areas in the outskirts of Damascus were targeted, resulting in a minimum death toll of 1703 (mostly civilians and largely children), and thousands of injuries experiencing life-threatening symptoms of chemical exposure amidst serious shortage of medical supplies.
