Zaman Al Wasl reached milestone in 2015: brief

(Zaman Al Wasl)- The Syrian war dominated news feeds and media outlets in 2015,where one of its main outcomes the Islamic State took the lion's share.

According to Alexa Internet, Inc. is a California-based company that provides commercial web traffic data and analytics, Zaman Al Wasl has assumed among Syrian media outlets who cover the war, refugees and all attached issues.

The newspaper covered the Syrian issue in two main lines: the field situation and reporting latest news about battles on different fronts and areas in Syria. The second was the unprecedented breach of Syrian intelligence files, and getting unique access to information from all intelligence branches in Syria. subsequently, the newspaper has become the source for credible information for many regional and national news agencies.

In 2015, Zaman Al Wasl published dozens of special reports, here are some of them:

ASSAD'S CODE

Obtaining access to intelligence files, the most sensitive issue in the Syrian regime, was a significant achievement of Zaman Al Wasl, as it managed to have access to about 1.7 million documents and data base from different Syrian intelligence branches, and started publishing information in sequent reports by its 10th anniversary.

The million archive is considered as information bank, not only for Syrians, but for people belong to 153 different nationalities, because it collected all notices and arrest warrant issued by different intelligence branches in the country like, General Intelligence, Military Intelligence, Air-forces intelligence, and the political security.

The exclusive archive showed notices and even arrest warrant against prominent figures, not only from the Syrian opposition but even within the regime itself, added to that notices against Arabic and political, military, religious, social, media, athletic, artistic figures, at Arabic and International levels.

Zaman Al Wasl worked on revealing the regime’s crimes in prisons and its ways to hide these crimes, besides showing cases of death under torture.

The newspaper managed to obtain more than 50 thousand pictures of 11 thousand victims died in regime’s prisons most of them under torture.

Zaman Al Wasl identified many figures involved in torturing and committing crimes against prisoner, especially in the hospital of Yusuf Azma known as 601 military Hospital.

As well as pictures, the newspaper met with many military members and recruits who served in the 601 military hospital and revealed facts adopted by many important human rights and media agencies as proof on Assad regime’s violations.

Zaman Al Wasl continued chasing many of criminals who sought asylum in Europe and reveled their details, besides continuous reminding of people to report any suspect one.

THE BLACK BOX

Zaman Al Wasl published exclusive reports, caused wide media influence at Syrian and Arabic levels, the most important one was the report on Abo Al-Qaqa and his role in recruiting young men and sending them to Iraq before assassinating him, which is most likely to be committed by the Syrian intelligence.

FIELD COVERAGE

Zaman Al Wasl keenness for excellence and revealing Assad’s crimes, did not stopped it from following and covering latest development on ground and battles in different fronts over the Syrian land. It reported rebels' battles and achievements besides disclosing crimes and massacres of the Syrian regime and Russian air-forces which started its raids in September this year.

Zaman Al Wasl has not limited its activities to covering news only, it met with many militarily and politically important and influential Syrian figures and followed their news. Moreover, it interviewed many Arabic and International figures t to discuss the situation in Syria and the region in general.
