(Zaman Al Wasl)- The exclusive archive of the Syrian intelligence and criminal records, obtained by Zaman Al Wasl has 28 notices against members of al-Assad family out of 2.5 million criminal notices and 1.7 million intelligence notices and arrest warrants.

Ammar al-Assad, son of Badi and Samira, born in 1970, a member of the parliament, there was an arrest warrant against him no. 787406 issued by the passport and Immigration agency, depending on a warrant issued by the Interpol no. 377641/8612.

The important point was that there was no criminal record or any notice in the within the criminal record mentioned the Interpol's arrest warrant, all notices against Ammar al-Assad were one for brawl and shooting, and 3 other were applications to grant his a criminal clearance, two of them were issued in 2011 prior to the Parliament election. That indicates withdrawing the criminal notice of the Interpol from the criminal record.

Ammar al-Assad started his criminal activity in Latakia city, the coastal city and important Syrian seaport. He stated working with his uncle Jamil al-Assad, who dealt with the seaport as if it was his own property and facilitated transfer for loads of illegal materials without any supervision. He was appointed as the manager of the operations in Latakia seaport, which gave his a chance to facilitate smuggling of food and drugs and other illegal materials.

After the Syrian revolution outbreak, he was elected as a member of the Parliament, as well as appointing his as the manager of the National Defence forces in Lattakia, that made him one of the warlords leading thousands of mercenaries and Shabiha all over Syria and controlling millions of dollars allocated to support them.

Another activity of Ammar al-Assad was appointing him as a supervisor of the international aid, which put billions in his hands. He took the chance and stored most of the amount of food and aid, he filmed the distribution operations in villages loyal to the regime and members of the national Defence Forces and broadcast on media.

Ammar al-Assad presented himself for Iranians as supporter to SHiite by showed interest in Shiite places and pulished photos of himself when he visited them.

In the presidential election in 2014, he was active in supporting Bashar’s campaign and gave many statements, but he made many mistakes at the time, one of them when he explained that 2104 election with more than one candidate was the first democratic experience in Syria, that indicted his negative perception toward all previous elections done by Hafiz and Bashar al-Assad when there was only one candidate.
