Provocative personality of Michael Kilo bothers Coalition members

As a considerable number of The Democratic Bloc, Headed by Michael Kilo, became members in the national Coalition and combined with electing Ahmed Jarba, who is closed to Kilo, as Head of the Coalition, Kilo became the most prominent and effective person in the Coalition, even more he is the closest and most acceptable person to Gulf countries and the West

Many of the Coalition members did not feel comfortable with that rapid escalation in the presence of Kilo, and they expressed that he became more superior than ever before after winning his battle of expanding the Coalition.

A member of the Coalition and from the Democratic Bloc as well, who preferred not to mention his name, told Zaman Alwasl that Kilo’s practices and way in directing meetings and taking decisions became provocative, as often he sees that his opinion must be followed and when he is confronted or questioned with any matter, he replies in an arrogant authoritarian way.

The coalition member added: " There is no doubt that Kilo’s personality is widely acceptable, but it seems that he started to use his political history to control the attitude of the Bloc, relying on his international acceptance and the support of Ahmed Jarba, Head of the Coalition.

Moreover, the member criticised Kilo’s way in dialogue with the members of the coalition, pointing out that whenever he is disturbed from a matter, he threaten of resignation as a Head of the bloc.

On the other hand, another member of the coalition expressed that Kilo is very much supporting Ahmed To’omeh as a president of the interim government to an extent his support became provocative, although many see that To’omeh does not have that great deal of experience.

Many express that there is no question about Kilo’s patriotism and dedication to Syrian Revolution, but they criticize his inflated personality and they see that he is trying to be a copy of Fares Khoury, that National Syrian Christian icon, who headed the Syrian parliament in 1936.
