Hasaka: Kurdish PYD abuses mount, people protest

(Zaman Al Wasl)- Local activists in northeastern Hasaka province said tens of people have been killed, tortured, displaced and looted by the Powerful Kurdish PYD militia.

Two days ago,  three
people from the same family were killed and many wounded due to a road mine planted by PKK in the village of Hafayer near Hasaka city.

More civilians were killed in a similar incidence in Shadadi town while members of YPG-led Syrian Democratic Forces “SDF” collected explosives and mines from buildings and blew them off, which caused lots of damage.

 Self-Defense militia, affiliate of PYD, formed of forced-recruited youth announced name of fighters who dies in a battle with the Islamic State in Shadadi, in Southern countryside of Hasaka, three of them in one statement and the fourth in a separate one.

The speaker explained that patrols of PYD have wondered since October 2014 in villages and demanded families to hand one of their youth to go through short training course and then they would be sent to fight the Islamic State in frontline battles.

Two men were killed under torture in prisons of the Kurdish Self Management, one of them “Mustaf al-Hassan” was arrested in March 2014, and according to sources, he stood before court of the Self Management two month ago, but later his family was told to go and receive his body because he died of heart attack.

Another man called Ima Mohamed Mowais, 32, died in the beginning of last month, after a year and a half of imprisonment.

In a relevant content, people in villages “Ghora, Hazimiyah, Sayyed Hassan, Salmo, Aazo, Sabia-zilam” in Jabal Abdul Aziz have protested against the PYD’s decision that prevented them from returning to their houses because they were seized by the militants and being used as fighting bases because of their position.

Activist Mohammed al-Khalif from the Union of Hasaka Youth, mentioned that people in those villages have become homeless, lived at their relatives’, moreover, they needed a sponsor if they wanted to go to the villages on the other bank of  Habur river.

PYD have controlled Jabal Abdul Aziz in Hasaka western Countryside in May 2015, after clashes with fighters of Islamic State, the battle lasted almost two weeks, and supported by the U.S. led alliance air strikes.
