“The Voice of free Syrian children”: charitable humanitarian musical tour, Malik Jandali announced
Award-winning composer and pianist Malek Jandali announced yesterday in a press conference held in New York City the launch of his humanitarian musical project called "The Voice of free Syrian Children” which will involve performing musical concerts in many American cities and other capitals, the profits will go to support humanitarian aid for Syrian children inside and outside Syria.
The tour will start on Sunday 13 October from Detroit, Michigan sponsored by UNESCO, the Association of American Task Force for Palestine ATFP, UNICEF, and other researchers and scientists who work in human Rights field.
"To me it is a moral obligation; America is a beacon of freedom and democracy, and who would agree on murdering children? Anytime, anywhere, gassing children using illegal chemical weapons." Jandali said in his interview with NBC channel.
He pointed out that there are two million Syrian refugees, the vast majority are children targeted by a regime willing to commit genocide in the name of power.
"Enough is enough," Jandali said. "We need to stand by our moral obligation as Americans, as artists, as human beings to help those”
He expressed that he consider this project as a humanitarian gesture to uphold the voice of right to patent Children of Syria who are facing war crimes and crimes against humanity.
He gently apologized to Zaman Alwasl’s correspondent for not being able to make an interview because of time shortage and quickly commented saying: "Assad loyalist in America are doing their best to defend the children killer and we must be ready to face them”
then he added that efforts must be combined and focused on the American media to emphasize the peacefulness of Syrian Revolution and the children’s right in freedom.
