Dutch football legend Johan Cruyff has died on Thursday at age 68.
The Cruyff Foundation said on its website that he passed away in his house in Barcelona.
He had been receiving cancer treatment. In February, he had said he felt as if he was "leading 2-0 at halftime" against the disease.

The creative genius for the Dutch club Ajax, he managed to claim three consecutive European Cups from 1971.
In the 1974 World Cup, he helped the Dutch national team reach the final, one he would lose 2-1 to West Germany. He played for the Netherlands a total of 48 times.
He received the Ballon d'Or, which rewards the best European football player of the year, in 1971, 1973 and 1974.
After playing for Ajax and Barcelona in the sixties and seventies, he would manage both clubs in the eighties and nineties.
Cruyff's intuitive style of play and coaching philosophy of rapid passing is widely credited to have affected football to this day.
