(Zaman Al Wasl)- An Islamic State-linked groups launched new attacks on Free Syria Army in southern Daraa province and border territory with Jordan on Saturday, activists said.
The ISIS fighters launched attack to capture ground in Allajat region northeast of Daraa city from FSA as fellow fighters of Yarmouk Martyrs Brigade, an Isis-linked group, engaged with rebels in the western countryside near Hait and Tsil towns.
Yarmouk Martyrs brigade captured Sahm al-Golan town while imposing siege on Hait village which in control of Fatah Army, field source said.
Yramouk Martyrs and its allied group al-Muthanna Movement launched major attack on rebels and Nusra Front ten days ago, seeking to extend a territory it contols as concern rise of an ISIS advance in Daraa while its militants have been defeated in the Syrian desert and northeastern Syria.
Last week, rebels backed by Nusra Front and Ahrar al-Sham movement recaptured the towns of Mzairib and al-Sheikh Saad from Yramouk Martyrs.
