(Zaman Al Wasl)- Amid ambiguity of al-Badiya Cement workers’ fate who were kidnapped last week by the Islamic State near Dumeir town eastern Damascus, a body of an engineer killed by ISIS was delivered to his family and a new statement issued over the abductees.
The case of kidnapped workers of al-Badiya cement factory situated in Damascus countryside by Isis is still ambiguous, according to activists.
Information indicates three engineers Yazan Jamoul, Tarek al-Fahed, and Rabee’ Flihan were slaughtered by Isis and three other employees were shot.
The International Committee of the Red Cross stated that engineer Rabee’ Filahn’s corpse was delivered to his family in Swaida and was kidnapped along 300 workers from the cement factory located in northern east of Khan Abu Shamat in Damascus countryside.
Videographer Naser Flihan mourned his niece Rabee’ Flihan who was killed by Isis thugs.
He added that Flihan the martyr is a civil engineer and he was kidnapped along 300 of his colleagues at the cement factory. Some employees were killed on sectarian grounds and the rest were released.
Naser Flihan wrote on his Facebook page, “Syrians, if you do not stand together against this age’s barbarism, your sons and grandsons will be the next target. You will mourn your most precious belongings if you stay cowards.”
Activists doubted Rabee’ Flihan was killed by Isis since Isis does not deliver corpses neither to International Committee of Red Crescent nor to anyone else.
Al-Badiya Cement factory released a statement today regarding the incidents at the factory on last Tuesday in which employees and clients were kidnapped while in the factory.
The statement did not mention the kidnapping party. The statement says “the detained employees from the factory during the last incidents are 109 employee. 30 were released and there is information that 4 may have been killed.”
The statement indicated the clients and other people who were at the factory during the incidents were 185 persons either drivers, customers, and contractors. 117 were released and there is information that 5 are missing and may have been killed. These numbers do not include the personnel of the special security company guarding the factory.
A’maaq agency affiliated with Isis had confirmed that 300 employees were arrested in the Chinese factory in eastern Qalamoon. The agency through an unspecified source said, “Isis fighters transported the employees to a safe place to get food and medical care. They interrogated them.”
A Workers’ Union source disclaimed the news of release of the 300 kidnapped by Isis.
