Reporting by Hussein Al Zoubi; Translation by Yusra Ahmed

(Zaman Al Wasl)- Round three of Geneva talks to start on Wednesday, as the Kurdish National Council attends seeking recognition of Kurds’ rights in the new constitution.

The opposition's High Negotiations Committee arrived Tuesday to Geneva coming from Riyadh, to participate in the third round of Geneva talks, headed by Mohammed Alloush, Asaad al-Zoubi, Suhair Atassi, Fuad Alico, representative of the Kurdish National council included within the National Coalition, that dismisses what has been circulated in regard to withdrawal of the Kurdish National Council from talks.

Syamend Hajo, member of the office of foreign affairs in the Syrian National Council, told Zaman Al Wasl that the Kurdish National Council is within the opposition delegation, which contradicts with what media tried to show that Kurds are not represented because the Democratic Union Party (PYD) is not represented in the talks. Hajo confirmed: “we are represented and cooperate with the opposition in regard to regime in talks, although we not completely happy with some matters, one of them was not mentioning the Kurd properly when the opposition talked to the U.N. Envoy, Staffan de Mistura, we demand mentioning the Kurds’ right in the new constitution”.

The Kurdish National Council sees Syria as Federal State, however, it is difficult to convince the opposition, especially these days about that, especially when the Democratic union Party (PYD) announced the Kurdish Federal, Hajo added that Kurdish National Council supports the “decentralisation” although the opposition tended to avoid commenting about the matter.

The third round of Geneva talks starts April 13, but the regime delegate is arriving Geneva Friday, which indicates that talks may not start till April 2015, but de Mistura might hold meetings with the opposition delegate Wednesday, but nothing official was confirmed.

Representatives of the opposition Cairo platform have arrived to Geneva according to Jihad Makdisi, the former spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, he said that the outlines of this round of talks is the constitutional adjustments, which could control the political transformation of the power within temporary legal framework for the transitional stage. Makdisi thinks that Geneva can affect the development of some matters, but it is not able to make total solution.

The U.N. Special Envoy to Syria visited Damascus on Sunday, April 10, and met with the minister of foreign affairs of regime Walid al-Mualim and the head of regime’s delegation to Geneva, Bashar al-Jaafari.

De Mistura has visited Tehran after Damascus on Tuesday and held talks with Iranian officials regarding developments in Syria.

De Mistura said in a press conference that the next round of talks should be clear in heading towards a political process in order to start political transformation in Syria.

News papers close to regime reported that the Minister of Foreign Affairs mentioned that they are ready to To discuss all matters with no exception, and they would continue on negotiation with concentration on fighting terrorism, while the U.N envoy pledged to carry on negotiation about terrorism alongside other matters.

The latest round of indirect talks in Geneva was closed in March 24.
