(Zaman Al Wasl)- Two to three cases weekly of abduction of women and children and robbery in central Hama city, local activists said.
Activist Mueed al-Midani confirmed that al-Qusur neighborhood witnesses daily abduction of women and children even during the day time. The kidnap operations are focused on the road leading to Kasabpasi Square where regime forces gangs spread.
Al-Midani added that Janub al-Mal’ab, al-Karameh,and al-Barnawi neighborhoods suffer from abduction and robbery and regime thugs Ahmad Darwsih, al-Sheikh Hasan and al-Sheikh Fadil who are stationed in eastern Hama countryside are the ones responsible for the abduction and robbery. They are supervised by State Security Branch and Military Security.
Human rights advocate Seyf indicated there are more than 14 abduction incidents of women and children and robbery of more than 20 civil cars in Hama City.
Seyf said the robberies happen when regime personnel install a temporary checkpoint. They stop the car at the checkpoint and ask for the ID card. Later on, they accuse the driver of being wanted for one of the branches where they take him out of Hama City with his car.
They beat him up or kill him which means the operations are done by regime supervision and sponsorship. The car has to pass through six checkpoints from city center to reach northern countryside.
