Kurds Council joins Opposition Coalition with 52 votes of 80

National Kurdish Council joined the opposition National Coalition after  months deliberations.

Coalition members have voted YES to join the main stream Kurdish opposition in Istanbul by 52 out of 80 attended the vote on joining the Council, with 25 members objected to the agreement, well-informed source told Zaman Alwasl.

The objection was on some chapters in the agreement not on the legitimate Kurdish people where the legal commission said its illegal.

 The agreement which got the consensus of the opposition members says the word of 'Arab should be omitted from the official name of Syria to be just "Syrian Republic" instead of the "Syrian Arab Republic."

 Kurdish National Council has concluded two days of meetings with the leaders of Syrian National Coalition in Istanbul, leading to several major agreements.

 A member of the foreign relations committee in the Kurdish Council, Mustafa Sino described the talks which held two weeks ago as "positive."

 Negotiations are also being held to include the Democratic Union Party (PYD) in the Coalition if it clarified its attitude towards the regime, according to Rehab, Kurdish News Agency.

Sino said the agreement decided to remove all discriminatory policies against the Kurds.

 Eleven seats in the Coalition are to be given to the Kurdish National Council, in addition to the position of Vice President of the Coalition. Sources told Rihab News that the General Secretary of the Kurdish Democratic Party, Abdul Hakeem Bashar will probably occupy the position.
