(Eqtsad)- Cafes and restaurants have become busier with Syrians in Gaziantep, and the reason is not for fun or wasting time, they are an alternative to reception rooms which most Syrians' rented houses lack in Gaziantep.
Bader Alio, a teacher from Aleppo, rarely entered a cafe in his hometown, but since he came to Gaziantep, hardly passed a day without sitting in the next door cafe.
“my home is as small as a box of matches, it is only one room, and I cannot have a guest or a visitor while my wife and two children are at home, so the cafe is the best place to welcome a visitor”, the teacher explained.
Alio detailed that the landlord gets angry with visitors in my house, even he gets annoyed from tiny sound or movement, and the same with most Turkish landlords. “they treat us as if we are staying in their properties for free, although they receive too high rent unproportioned with the size and quality of houses ”, commented.
