(Zaman Al Wasl)- Lebanese Hezbollah militia formed a new militia under the name Zein al-Abedeen Brigade in the regime-held neighborhoods of Deir ez-Zor city, activist told Zaman al-Wasl.
The founder of “Deir ez-Zor is Being Slaughtered Silently” campaign confirmed that Lebanese Hezbollah began to form the new Zein al-Abedeen Brigade adding that regime military helicopters continue to transport the brigade batches to Deir ez-Zor in the last four days.
Al-Ramadan said the new militia headquarters is located near the central prison in regime-controlled al-Jawra neighborhood in Deir ez-Zor. The estimated number of the brigade is about 120 members.
The armed men of Hezbollah militia appeared in the city since four months. Before that, there were members of its Syrian wing under Lebanese leadership. They are distinguished from the local militias by their high salaries and influence, the activist pointed out.
“The regime brought from Damascus and Damascus countryside a Palestinian militia subordinated to Young men Return to Palestine Movement known as al-Jaleel Forces. They settled in al-Qusour neighborhood in Deir ez-Zor to fight in the ranks of the regime against ISIS. Mohamed Abbas Eid al-Mohamed and Essam Essa al-Abbas from the Palestinian militia were killed by ISIS during clashes on the southern entrance of Deir ez-Zor city few days ago,” al-Ramadan said.
The Palestinian Young men for Return confirmed its military wing al-Jaleel Forces are participating in the battles against ISIS in Raqqa countryside under its general secretary leadership Fadi al-Malah who had previously promised to fight with his affiliates beside the regime, according to Syrian State official news agency, SANA.
Members of Lebanese Hezbollah militia, Iraqi militias and Palestine Liberation Army fight in the ranks of regime forces to suppress the Syrian revolution.
Their role was stood out during the offensive on al-Qusayir, al-Zabadani and later Aleppo beside other regions during the ongoing Syrian revolution against Bashar al-Assad’s regime since 2011.
