Turkey shuts border-crossings with Syria over security reasons

Turkish Authorities continued the close of both main border crossing in Bab al-Hawa, Bab al-Salameh and Tal Abyad over security reasons, Zaman Alwasl correspondent reported.

 Jarablous border crossing is the only available escape for hundreds of people who flee the country everyday.

 Some Syrian people expressed their worries from the continued closure of crossing boarders by Turkish authorities, especially after increasing violence by the regime, besides fighting within the opposition parties in particular between factions of the Free Syrian Army “FSA” and Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham “ISIS”.

 On the other hand, Turkish president in his talk to media expressed his concerns about what so-called “terrorists” and their attempts to cross Turkish border despite the heavy military reinforcements.

Other Turkish media sources talked about Turkish Authorities fears of chemical weapons smuggling inside Turkish territory which would affect the country's security and stability.
