(Zaman Al Wasl)- The military formation of Ajnad al-Hasaka is newly formed of young men of Hasaka city who live in Idlib an trained in its camps, it is one of the Free Syrian Army (FSA) formations, according to the Commander Abo Hamza al-Haskawi.
Al-Haskawi mentioned in his talk to Zaman AL Wasl that he works on attracting all people who are keen to protect Syria and liberate it from the Syrian regime and the Kurdish militias to liberate their villages and regain houses.
The commander continued: “we are a military formation affiliates to the Free Syrian Army and we want to cooperate with all who have similar goals, we do not exclude anyone and we do not claim that we are the only formation of Hasaka when we announce the formation on Wednesday, we welcome all loyalists who fight the gang and badly affected by the Democratic Union Party as villages were completely destroyed and people displaced”
Ajnad al-Hasaka Formation announced via a statement last Thursday, a day after its formation in Idlib, that it is ready to be part of Jaish Thowar al-Hasaka that is intended to be formed under the commander of FSA to fight the Syrian regime, people’s Protection Units (YPG) and the Islamic State and all their supporters.
The FSA left Hasaka and the Syrian Jazeera in September 2014, after a settlement between Thowar Ghwiran and the regime’s forces, mediated by religious and tribal figures to stop attack on Ghwiran neighbourhood in the city centre on condition to let fighters with their arms out of the city to Jabal Abdul-Aziz then to the destination they want.
Hasaka is controlled by many forces, the military arms of PYD controlled the largest area, while the regime controlled the security square, the Islamic state has only the village of Markada, its last stronghold in the city.
