Syria regime uses naval helicopters in bombing Aleppo

(Zaman Al Wasl)- Zaman al-Wasl learnt that the regime air force command recently transported 4 naval helicopters type mi-14 from Bistuwir helicopter airbase in Jablah countryside to Hama military airport to execute night air raids using naval mines and explosive barrels as part of the new intense campaign the regime and Russia are launching on Aleppo and its countryside.

An informed source said the regime incorporated the naval helicopters in the bombing to greater focus its airplanes’ efforts on Aleppo and its countryside. The source indicated that the deteriorating technical condition of the regime airplanes has led to a reduction in the number of aerial attacks perpetrated.

The source clarified that the regime is increasing its airstrikes against revolutionary cities to execute its plan to force the largest possible number of residents to leave. The source confirmed that naval helicopters came to compensate the deficiency in the number of air strikes perpetrated based on a request from regime forces and the sectarian militias supporting it.

The source confirmed to Zaman al-Wasl that the naval helicopters, which arrived at Hama airport days ago, are specialized in executing night raids with only explosive barrels and naval mines which were transported with these helicopters. The source clarified that they execute between 16 to 20 night raids on a daily basis.

He mentioned that most of these helicopters’ attacks are directed at Aleppo and its southern countryside as well as Homs’ countryside, Hama and Idlib.

The source considered that using the naval helicopters to renew bombing on Syrian villages and cities is an additional sign of the deteriorating condition of the regime airplanes and its inability to meet the need of its land forces despite the large size of Russian attacks which cover most of the Syrian territories outside of the control of the Assad regime.
