(Zaman Al Wasl)- Syrian regime warplanes killed Thursday six civilians in the town Khan Shikhoun in Idlib province, Civil Defense said
The rescuing group told Zaman al-Wasl that 6 civilians, including 3 children, were killed and dozens wounded due to cluster-bomb raids, targeted the neighbourhoods of Khan Shikhoun.
In the same time, a baby-girl was killed and 10 wounded after two air raids of the regime’s warplanes at Moarat al-Noman. Moreover, shelling targeted the town of al-Tamania resulted in buildings destruction.
Idlib, the provincial capital in Syria's northwest, has been held by opposition rebels since March 2015. it is a major bastion of the Turkey-backed opposition.
In June this year, residents faced the heaviest bombardment in months. Thousands were forced to leave the city, with activists estimating that approximately three quarters of the city's population had fled.
After 5 years of multi-sided war, more than 280 thousand people have been killed and 11 million, half of Syria's pre-war population, have forced to leave their houses, 4.8 million have fled the country, and 6.6 million have become internally displaced by the violence, according to the UN.
