(Zaman al-Wasl)- New forced displacement operation started on Wednesday in Moadamiyet al-Sham, a western suburb of Damascus, where about 5000 people from the town and other displaced population from Daraya, Kafarsouseh and al-Mazeh will leave towards Idlib province, local sources reported.
Media center in the city said the green buses arrived in the entrance of the city and some fighters arrived with their families, too.
Activists in the city clarified the operation came after regime agreed to exit those who do not want a settlement with their families to Idlib following two-days meetings in the city between regime delegate headed by journalist Kinana Huayja and representatives of the locals.
The regime agreed to exit 400 persons from Kafarsouseh and Daraya in addition to 650 from Moadamiya. According to the agreement, the fighters surrender their weapons before exit whereas 75% from the total number exit with individual weapons.
Moadamiyet al-Sham population is estimated to be 70000 according to stats before the revolution and the city is located to the west of Damascus adjacent to the Fourth Military Division and Mazzeh Military airport. Moadamiya was among the first areas to rebel against the Syrian regime.
