Shiite militias occupy east Aleppo: activists

 (Zaman Al Wasl)- Activists voiced concern over Iran and it's Shiite militias practices as Iran's flag and many sectarian banners have been occupying the collapsed eastern Aleppo, saying Iran is deepening the rift with the Syrian people.

 Iran leads Lebanese Hezbollah militia, Iraqi Nujaba'a movement, Abu al-Fadhl al-Abbas brigades, and the Afghan Fatimioun militia.

The militias have surrounded the al-Amawi mosque in old Aleppo and the castle of Aleppo, Antakya Door.

 Sources mentioned that fear has been raised about the future of the city and its history by the Iranians and Shiite militias, as talks about turning mosques into Husseiniyat, places of worship, in neighborhoods of Hanano, Fardous, and others.

Meanwhile, Just 3,000 people are believed to be preparing to be evacuated from eastern Aleppo.

The Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said 60 buses would pick up the remaining 3,000 fighters and their families.

At least 25,000 people have been evacuated from the bombed-out city in recent days, according to the Red Cross.

Russian foreign minister Sergey Lavrov has said all civilians and opposition fighters should be out of neighborhood within two days.

He also told reporters after a meeting with his Iranian and Turkish counterparts that they had agreed fighting terrorism rather than removing al-Assad would be the priority in Syria.
