New Rebel commander missed in north Syria

 

Reports about missing a rebel commander affiliated to 'Jund Allah', God's Soldiers rally in Idlib countryside.

Anas al-Zir, leader of 'Yousef al-Zmeh' brigade, was missed in Sarmin city after his attendenace for military meeting with Jund Allah commanders, source told Zaman Alwasl.

 Rebels of Srmin said they knew nothing about al-Zir disappearing or even if he had been killed. 

Five days ago, unknown armed group kidnapped another rebel commander in Manbij north Syria, local sources revealed to Zaman Alwasl.

The missing of sheikh Mohamed al-Kanj, leader of Ashab al-Yamin brigade came after an argument between Kanj and the Emire of al-Qaeda affiliated group, State of Iraq and al-Sham in the northern town, near Aleppo.

 Rebels of Manbij and Jrabulus in a statement issued today have denounced the abduction without any reference to ISIS.  

Rebel groups have become increasingly fractured, with Islamic extremists, including those linked to al-Qaida, assuming prominent roles in battle.

 The Syrian conflict erupted in March 2011 as a popular uprising against Assad that quickly escalated into civil war. More than 115,000 people have been killed since then and millions of Syrians have been displaced.
