(Al-Arabiya)- Syrian President Bashar al-Assad may be suffering from an eyelid twitch in his left eye as a result of psychological pressures, according to sources in Moscow.
In its Saturday edition, the London-based pan Arab newspaper Asharq al-Awsat quoted these sources as saying that after almost six years of war, Assad has begun to feel exhausted.
A report by the daily entitled “Putin’s increasing problems are a result of his support of Assad in Syria” said that Russian President Vladimir Putin has begun “to estimate the cost of keeping Assad in power, and he may have begun looking for a formula that saves face and smoothly gets him out of trouble.”
This is why Russian officials hinted that Assad “is feeling exhausted after six years of war and tensions” and may be suffering from an eyelid twitch in his left eye as a result.
