(Zaman Al Wasl)- Corruption in security and legal bodies of rebels' military factions had helped informers and agents of the Syrian regime’s intelligence in penetrating the revolutionary forces besides arresting and killing many rebels.
In this matter, an eyewitness, nickname as Abo Thaer, told Zaman al-Wasl how he managed to arrest an agent works for regime’s air forces intelligence at a barrier.
In details according to Abo Thaer, in September 2015, at the barrier in Atarib city in Western Countryside of Aleppo, he requested names of travellers on a bus, but he noticed that the number of people in the list was less than the travellers, to find out later that a man called Mostafa Miqrish had got on the bus from Aleppo without registering his name.
“When we searched him, we found a receipt of receiving a gun at al-Basil Hospital in the neighbourhood of Zahra after discharging him from the hospital where he receive treatment of his foot injury, the receipt was issued by Suhail al-Hasan, the well known General in regime's intelligence who nicknamed as al-Nimr, moreover, we found a torn-off paper under Miqrish's seat in the bus showed that he was on task to join Suhail al-Hasan's militias in Hama", Abo Thaer detailed.
Zaman al-Wasl obtained documents confirming that Miqrish worked for a group under the supervision of well known “Shabih” called Sobhi Majdami, in the neighbourhood of Salah Eddin.
Abo Thaer continued that they had transferred Miqrish to the security centre of Bayariq al-Islam Movement, where he confessed working in al-Ansari neighbourhood, and when they brought a resident of the neighbourhood, he confirmed knowing him revealing that he left after controlling the neighbourhood by the Free Syrian Army.
Abo Thaer detailed that Sobhi Majdami had helped Miqrish and his wife Batol al-Asi to find a house in the neighbourhood of Iza’aa, then Majdami send him for a task, but when Miqrish came back, he discover that his wife was pregnant, he suspected that it was not his, and faced his wife with that, who in turn confessed that it was Majdami’s, all that caused troubles between Miqrish and his wife, the he decided to leave to Turkey, and obtained a permission to cross regime’s barriers, but he was caught by Abo Thaer.
The witness mentioned that he contacted Mikrish’s wife and told her about her husband and ask her to give him names of informers who penetrated the rebels factions for money, and she gave him names of many agents worked for Majdami for an amount of reached to 75000 Syrian Pound, then she disappeared with no further contact.
Abo Thaer added that after losing contact with Miqrish’s wife, they transferred him with all evidences to the court of Dar Ezaa, which issued him an execution sentence, but the general prosecutor appealed to a Judge called Khalid al-Omar, who changed the sentence into imprisonment for a year and a half with a fine of 300,000 Syrian Pound.
Abo thaer reported that he was angry from the sentence, he appealed against it via
the security office of the faction arrested Miqrish, but his appeal was rejected, and the court order was made final and Miqrish was freed mid December 2016 after finishing his imprisonment period after reducing it for 3 months.
Abo Thaer detailed that after freeing Miqrish, he forwarded a list of wanted agents including Miqrish to Ahrar al-Sham movement which control the crossing point of Bab al-Hawa, and indeed Miqrish was arrested in his way to Turkey, but Ahrar al-Sham released him for unknown reasons.
Zaman al-Wasl contacted the Court of Dar al-Ezza, and asked officials to comment on the information mentioned by Abo Thaer. The court confessed that all documents and events were genuine, but it denied the execution sentence against Mosafa Miqrish, confirming that the primary court had sentenced him with imprisonment of a year and a half only because there was no evidence of committing any killing, and because he tried to run away from the Syria to Turkey, it considered as a repentance, and Miqrish accepted the sentence, but the general prosecutor appealed against the order and demanded more financial fine.
The court sent Zaman al-Wasl a copy of the court order that was issued in February 15, 2016, the appeal body had accepted the appeal formally and confirmed the court order besides adding a fine of 30, 000 Syrian Pound.
The court confirmed that the sentence was taken by three judges, two of them Sharea judges and the third was a civil judge called Khalid al-Omar, who was mentioned in the statement of Abo Thaer.
