Syrian regime extends aerial campaign in Daraa province
(Zaman Al Wasl)- Syrian regime has extended its aerial campaign on southern Daraa province as an alliance of 35 rebel and Islamist factions fight to take the biggest district in Daraa city from army and its allied militias, activists said Friday.

The regime warplanes carried out at least 11 raids on the towns of Busra al-Sham, al-Nu’aima, Daraa al-Balad, Saida, Yadouda, Gharaz and Om al-Maaathen.

Rebels demanded people to avoid clashes areas, especially in al-Manshiya district that left 19 civilians, including 7 children, dead since the battle began last week.

Activists said 24 rebel fighters were killed and 19 civilians, including 7 children and 5 women, were killed in regime bombing. Three media activists have been also killed, according to local monitoring group.

The Free Syrian Army fighters said on Wednesday at least 36 regime troops, including 11 officers, have been killed and 50 more have been wounded in al-Manshiya clashes.

A statement issued on Friday named the factions participating in the battles, including Haya’t Tahrir al-Sham, led by ex al-Qadea group- formerly known as the Nusra Front- and Ahrar al-Sham and Jaish al-Islam and 32 more factions.

In its turn, the regime forces have also claimed killing 32 rebel fighters, including members of Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham.

Al-Manshiya that turned into regime largest barrack in Darra  is a home for 20,000 people who enjoyed over two year of calm since the freeze of fighting in the southern city.

The teaching was suspended in the schools of southern Daraa city since Tuesday as regime warplanes have randomly pounding Dara and its countryside.
