(Zaman Al Wasl)- Major Abdul Kader abdul Razak, a war hero who fought in October War 1973 but 10 years later was executed in notorious Tadmur Prison.
The name of the Major "Abdul Kader abdul Razak" was mentioned in "Zaman Al Wasl" newspaper leaks within the list of names that were exterminated by the field court in Tadmur in 1983 on charge of belonging to Muslims Brotherhood .
"Abdul Razak", born in 1946 in the village of Akhrb in Idlib countryside , applied to the Army War College in the sixties of the last century . He participated in October war in 1973 and survived death twice at that time to the extent that he was described as a hero by a newspaper speaking in the name of the Syrian army which devoted a special page for him to speak about the progress of battles on the front he supervised in the war.
Sources close to " Abdul Razak"`s family revealed that Assad`s regime transferred him after October war to artillery college in Aleppo in 1975 following his beating for Major General " Wafiq Jalul" , who later took over " control and inspection body" in the Syrian army, what aroused his indignation and he began to complain about the regime and described it as " sectarian " after upgrading officers from the Alawite sect who were not basically participants in October war .
In 1978, he was transferred to the university training center in agricultural college at Damascus university , to be arrested in 1979 on what was called then " artillery school events" in Aleppo . He was detained for 40 days before being discharged of the Army.
The same sources added that one of the pillars of the regime tried to lure " Abdul Razak" again when the Major " Ali Duba", the head of Syrian intelligence in 1980, asked to meet him through an intermediary called " Abu Talal" , who was serving at that time in political education in the division . " Abdul Razak " refused the meeting telling the intermediary that he had chosen a straight path he could not retreat.
" Abdul Kader Abdul Razak " had meetings with several people , according to the sources , but these meetings remained secret until his arrest in the ninth month of 1980 on charges of belonging to Muslims Brotherhood , after he was subjected to security monitoring and ambushed during his visit to one of his friends in " al- Mashhad" neighborhood in Aleppo.
His Brother`s Execution
After one day of "Abdul Razak"`s arrest , the regime arrested his two brothers " Mohamad " ," Abdul Raman " , his wife and a number of his friends and relatives , after encircling the house of one of his relatives in " al-Mashhad" , to release later everyone except his brother "Abdul Rahman", whose name was mentioned in the same list by " Zaman Al Wasl ". He was executed in 1981 on charges of belonging to the armed organization of the Muslim Brotherhood.
"Abdul Rahman" was serving as a warrant officer 1st class in (General Major 55) air defense in "Adra" and was arrested on the back of his brother`s arrest on charges of belonging to the Muslims Brotherhood.
"Abdul Kader Abdul Razak "`s name was mentioned in a book issued by the political education of Baath ruling Party , entitled with " suspicious origin and black history" . He was also interviewed through the Syrian television in 1981 as a " terrorist" belonging to Muslims Brotherhood , and he did not confess of committing any murder or assassination , according to witnesses lived during the
time of broadcasting the interview.
His Wife`s Testimony
The Major`s wife said in an exclusive talk with "Zaman Al Wasl" that she had been arrested on the background of her husband`s arrest by the regime`s intelligence. She was asked by the head branch at that time " Omar Hamideh " about publications promoted by her husband, she denied and also denied her knowledge of reading and writing. Then she was released after hours by one of her relative who was serving at the same branch.
She also referred to looting of her house in " Izaa" neighborhood in Aleppo by the intelligence before they burned it completely as regime forces and militias do now in government- held areas.
The regime refused to register the house property under the name of the Major`s family " Abdul Kader Abdul Razak" because it considered it " property of Muslim Brotherhood belonging to the state " , she emphasized .
Moreover, the family sources pointed out that a number of Palmyra prisoners who met "Abdul Razak" assured them that he stayed alive until after 1984 , despite a death sentence against him in 1981 . He was brought out of his dormitory in Tadmur prison several times in order to implement the rule , then he was returned to the dormitory.
Sources , nevertheless, confirmed that the regime`s intelligence continued to conduct security studies on the two brothers until the beginning of 2011.
The family of the Major "Abdul Kader " and his brother told that they were vulnerable to financial blackmail by the agents of the Syrian regime when sending several messengers to them in order to release their sons in exchange for large sums of money worth millions of Syrian pounds.
In addition to that, "Abdul Razak"`s and his brother`s offspring were prevented from their right in employment and study at universities which give their graduators the right to be employed in the state.
Arresting His Son
The eldest son of the Major was arrested in 2009 and was released in the sixth month of 2011 without trial against the backdrop of possession religious cassette tapes , where it happened that the one who questioned him was the same one who questioned his father and was called " Fayez al-Nuri".
Although the regime released all those who were arrested with the Major`s son after a year, it left him detained for two years and a half for being the son of " Brotherhood leader" and spent the period in the basements of security branches before he moved to Seydnaya prison.
