(Zaman Al Wasl)- A prominent Syrian doctor and a father of 7 sons passed away in regime air strikes has been killed on Sunday in regime airstrikes on southern Daraa city, medics said.
The aerial attack on the neighborhood of al-Manshiya targeted a crew of medics were treating wounded rebels.
The political and armed opposition has mourned Hassan al-Hariri, the high-profiled doctor with countless virtues who paid time and blood for the Syrian revolution since its start in March 2011.
On August 2, 2014, Syrian warplanes conducted deadly airstrikes on Hariri’s house in the town of Busra al-Harir. His seven children had passed away, the elder was 16-year-old and the youngest was 3-month-old. The tragic death pushed the father for more human work to save lives of the bombing victims.
Another prominent civil activist and journalist Mohamed Abazid, pseudonym: George Samara, was also killed in the attack.
For a month, the regime warplanes have been conducting raids and dropping barrel bombs on al-Manshiya neighborhood, the regime’s largest barrack in Daraa and which is a home for 20,000 people.
The death toll of regime bombing topped at least 100 people and rebel fighters since clashes erupted early February.
