Al-Wa’er
neighborhood in Homs has been under fierce siege by the regime forces, after
the siege on old Homs, Joret Al-Shayah and al-Qarabis neighborhoods.
Activists confirmed to Zaman Alwasl that more than half a million people suffer from severe scarcity of food where vegetable has not been available for more than few times for months, with extremely high prices.
Moreover,
there is lack of fuel especially Benzene because cars and trucks are not
allowed to enter the neighborhood, as the price has reached to SP 500 for 1 liter,
which made 5 folds its official price.
The
Gas container reached to SP 7000, while it is sold for SP 1500 in other areas.
Electricity
has been completely cut off for 10 days because the main cable was
intentionally cut by regime forces.
