Appeal to save life of a detainee spent 25 years in Assad’s prisons


Diab Seriyeh, the former prisoner, has appealed to help in saving life of Ahmad al-Mahmood, who has been in coma for three days.

The appeal mentioned that he has been suffering of back pain because Prolapsed Disc and not able to move, which cause extreme health and weight deterioration as he reached to 55 Kg of weight, as a result of the lack of medicine and food imposed on Aleppo central prison by the regime.

The appeal added that al-Mahmood has been suffering of a abdominal tumor which has caused pressure on stomach and caused difficulties in swallowing and digestion.

The prison’s administration refused to facilitate an ultra-sound imaging to diagnose al-Mahmood medical condition accurately.

It worth mentioning that al-Mahmood has been detained since 1988 till now without any official charges. He was transferred from Mezza to Palmyra then Saydnaya’s prison, to end up in Aleppo’s central prison.

The appeal requested activists and interested people to do their best to save al-Mahmood’s life, and mentioned that attached photo is for al-Mahmood was taken two months ago.
