Worries about al-Oqaidi’s life after Tawhid's top Commander death

Many sources have expressed their worries about safety of Abdul Jabbar al-Oqaidi, the former head of the Aleppo military council, and the threat he might be surrounded.

A well-informed sources reported that Oqaidi is under close guarding and monitoring as Syrians do not tolerate losing another leader.

“Now focusing is on Oqaidi to hold a crucial role, especially he was on a good relationship with the martyr Saleh, however there are worries about possible assassination like what happened with other leaders” Our correspondent said.

“Death of leader Saleh has contributed to uniting and strengthening al-Tawhid Brigade,” correspondent added. Members from second rank in the brigade requested to change the brigade name into “Abdul Qader Saleh”

It worth mentioning that Zaman Alwasl has been under some blame for publishing the news of Leader Saleh’s death, as they were concerned about al-Tawhid Brigade’s unity and morals, which might get affected with the news of their leader’s death. The editor replied on that blame saying: “honesty and truth would not damage the revolution, many recent problems are resulted from “blinding’ and hiding the truth, we are Syrians and we have the duty to mourn him and publish the news of his death before other Arabic and international newspapers.”

Oqaidi announced his resignation a protest against letting down the Syrian people by the international community and the western-backed opposition.
