(Zaman Al Wasl)- A footage for brutal execution of five civilians, including two blind men, from the Deir Ez-zor by the regime soldiers has sparked wave of resentment and anger on social media.
Activist Salama al-Hussein from Furat Post Network confirmed that two young blind people were among those executed in the field by an element of regime forces. The element called Mayas Jarkas posted on his Facebook a footage on Monday of the execution saying it is a response to bombing on Qardaha, hometown of Bashar al-Assad.
Al-Hussein said the two youths belonged to the al-Bunaser tribe; Ibrahim al-Nayrat and Ahmed al-Nayrat from the town of Shameitiyeh. They were executed by members of the regime forces along with three others, whose identities are still unknown.
He pointed out that the publication of photographs of the victims and their circulation on social networking sites enabled the cousin of the two youths to identify them.
The incident raised questions of activists and followers of Deir Ez-zor on social networking sites and even among displaced people in Hasakah province about the extent of crimes committed and undeclared against those who remained in their villages or who were unable to move for many reasons.
The regime used to commit war crimes and crimes against humanity during its suppression of the Syrian revolution, according to official and non-official UN human rights organizations. The UN Security Council's condemnation of Russia's objections to the UN Security Council, including condemning of the report of the UN Independent Commission of Inquiry on Syria which reported 20 regime chemical attacks against civilians.
In contrast, the fronts on the other side of the Euphrates River were not acting better. As the Syrian Democratic Forces militia advanced, (SDF) Deir Ez-zor Council posted photos showing a humiliating arrest of civilians saying they are affiliated with ISIS with some smugglers of foodstuffs to ISIS points Deir Ez-zor.
There have been numerous violations against the residents of Deir Ez-zor including looting of houses and private property during the recent military campaigns between the regime forces and the militias supported by Russia support and militias led by the Democratic Union Party with the support of the US-led coalition to capture ISIS-controlled areas.
