YPG arrests two commanders from Liwa Thuwar al-Raqqa

(Zaman Al Wasl)- Kurdish YPG militia arrested two commanders operating in the Front of Raqqa Revolutionaries in Raqqa province, sources told Zaman al-Wasl on Wednesday.

The powerful YPG that led the US-led Syrian Democratic Forces had sidelined 'Liwa Thuwar al-Raqqa' during Raqqa's campaign against ISIS.

Local activists accused YPG of eliminating the group over plans to grip its control on the city that historically inhabited by Arabs after defeating ISIS on October 20.

The two commanders were arrested in the town of Ein Issa north of Raqqa.

Jabhat Thuwar al-Raqqa played essential role in the civil and humanitarian affairs in Raqqa.
