Syrian
Revolution General Commission reported Monday sudden withdrawal for the State
of Iraq and al-Sham’s militants from its strongholds in costal area.
Abu
Adham, battalion commander in rebel-held Salma village of Latakia Mountains,
said ISIS fighters without warning they left their barracks and some joint
checkpoints with rebels in Slama and other areas.
Activists said that ISIS and rebel groups had reached a deal to avoid infighting if ISIS fighters will leave Latakia province.
While
ISIS was once welcomed by rebels battling Syrian President Bashar al-Assad,
excessive abuses by the group turned much of the opposition against them.
More
than 2000 people, mostly fighters, died in 50 days fighting between rebels and
ISIS, since three massive rebel alliances declared war against ISIS early
January.
Syria's
nearly three-year conflict began as popular protests against four decades of
Assad family rule but changed into armed insurgency under a security force
crackdown.
Now
the major Arab state is in a full-scale civil war that has killed more than
140,000 people and forced over 6 million - more than a quarter of the
population - to flee their home.
