Hasaka: primitive oil 'refineries' put children health at risk

(Zaman Al Wasl TV)- Residents of twenty three villages in northeastern Hasaka province are under health risks due to the spread of the primitive oil-burning machines to produce fuel.


Dozen of children have been suffering from hypersensitivity and shortness of breath in the Kurdish-run region of Al-Qahtaniyah due to the indiscriminate and irresponsible use of incinerators, according to activists. 

Doctors say the pollution resulted of burning machines is a 'slow death'

The Kurdish self-administration says it is unable to transfer the incinerators to remote areas as no budget available.
