'Not allowed to move in Syria unless you provide recent bills': A Military source told "Zaman Alwasl"

Syrian Defense Ministry issued recently circular  was sent to all military institutions , barriers and checkpoints to ''not allowed any Syrian citizen wants to pass or move among his city or neighborhoods unless he provides his recent electricity, water and telephone bills. A Military source told "Zaman Alwasl".

''Government Treasury needs money no one is paying',' Activist said,   Assad's regime is pushing people foe more sever economic crisi to help its killing machine as obliging the Syrian people to pay after economic crisis that's combines the political one.

The Syria crisis has compounded the already difficult economic situation in the majority of Syria’s neighboring countries. While overall economic growth is slowing down in all neighboring countries (i.e. Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon and Turkey), exports, tourism and transportation have all been negatively affected owing to the interruption of trade routes and the deterioration of regional and national security, according to the Syrian Economic Forum.

While the Syria crisis is affecting all sectors in neighboring countries, its impact on the agriculture and food sectors is particularly important being the main source of income for a significant proportion of the population, particularly for the poorest segments in rural areas and vulnerable communities. While the share of the agriculture sector in gross domestic product ranges from 4 percent in Jordan to over 15 percent in Egypt, the sector employs the majority of the rural population in these countries. Importantly, agriculture is the main source of livelihood for the majority of communities hosting Syrian refugees in Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon and Turkey. With its strong forward and backward linkages within rural settings and with other sectors of the economy, agriculture is a major source of stimulus for growth and income generation in these countries.
