45 million visits to Zaman Al Wasl and its search engines in 2018: statistics

 (Zaman Al Wasl)- The number of visits to Zaman al-Wasl news site in 2018 has exceeded 20 million visits, while the number of visits in Zaman's search engines has reached about 25 million visits.

Also, the number of pages browsed in 2018 in the official newspaper site was 28.504.168 pages.

 24,885,000 searches have been made in 2018 by people looking for their names in the leaked wanted list which issued by the Syrian Intelligence and included names of 1.5 mn people, according to Google Analytics.

Zaman Al Wasl launched on March 15 a huge search engine including big official data and names of 1,500,000 people wanted for the Syrian regime, including warrants of arrest, interrogation and travel ban.

Zaman al-Wasl seeks to shed the light on the fate of the Syrian disappeared and victims of arbitrarily arrest as well as the search engines aim to provide data and information for the local and international human rights 
organisations and civil rights advocates.

The remarkable number of visits to Zaman al-Wasl news site was due to the in-depth covering from the war-torn country as well as due to the huge leaks that based on well-informed sources.

According to statistics, Turkey ranked first in terms of research sources with 10.5 million searches, Germany with 2.3 million searches, Saudi Arabia with 2.2 million searches and Jordan with 1.7 million searches.

In addition, 1.6 million searches were recorded from Syria via "https" that secures communication.

In 2015, Zaman al-Wasl has obtained the Syrian intelligence archive that includes 1.7 million documents.

The leaked archive contains records from the beginning of 2015 includes people from more than 150 nations not just Syrians. It dates back to the 1960s.
