Assad’s forces hit Yabrud medical centers

The medical office in Yabrud expressed worries over lack of  the urgent medical and relief needs in this recent crucial time of severest attack on the rebel city by Bashar al-Assad's forces backed by Hezbollah and other Shiite Militias.

The Main needs according to the office were an MRI and CT scan beside blood analysis electronic machines, not to forget a strategic store for medicine.

A source pointed out the need for providing medical support for displaced people as most of them are re-displaced again toward Jebbeh, Asal Alward, Bakha’a and Ras al-Ayn, and the source suggested establishing a medical centre behind Kalamoon region as a stand-by.

The source reveal people’s sufferings in Yabrud which has been under siege for more than 3 months, that has become harder lately.

Yabrud played very important role in supporting Syrian Revolution since the beginning, especially in sheltering displaced people from uprising areas like Homs, Damascus and its countryside. The city was considered a very important medical refuge for lot of patients and wounded poeple, either civilians or FSA fighters. The city had expert medical staff and public support, beside the possibility to receive medical support from Lebanon, all that provoked the regime to destroy it.

Syrian regime has damaged most hospitals and medical centre in the city, latest was the Obstetric Hospital in 25th Feb 2014. Translation by Yusra Ahmed
