Appeals to save coexistence in Al Hosn village

Thousands of people from al-Hosn village run away to Lebanon from imminent death they faced by heavy shelling and systematic killing from Syrian regime and its Shabiha. They tried to enter Lebanon through Khalid Valley days ago, however, many of them they were killed, as bodies of children, women and elderly were found in river.

Abo Tariq al-Hosni reported that 3000 families run away to Khalid Valley in Lebanon via Sahl al-Bqia’a, they fled as groups trying to enter Lebanon, but only few of them arrived. He explained that In their way, they were trapped by people from pro-regime villages and were killed. “300 people still missing and no one knows anything about them” the activist confirmed and he commented on that saying: “it looks that there is an unprecedented systematic massacre against our people in al-Hosn village, and the celebration on the official Syrian media and TV of victory when they killed children and women, points to the sectarian background of killing”

Combining that massacre, pro-regime and “Shabiha” celebrated loudly in the Crusader Castle, and distributed sweet and food, beside dancing and singing. Things did not stop on that, as “Shabiha” invaded people’s houses, destroyed them and stole their contents. Shockingly, Shabiha have been trying to change the Castle name into “Wadi al-Nasara Castle”

Saleh Bitar, an activist from the area said that regime’s forces and Shabiha went on a walk to express their happiness for victory and support to the regime. The activist added: “Shabiha did not stop on that, they insulted resident in the area even those who were loyal to the regime and who celebrated for the Syrian Army’s victory, they insulted the young and old people, even soldiers, and stole their possessions”

Saleh Bitar added that when Syrian Army’s soldiers and Shabiha from Wadi al-Nasarah enter al-Hosn village, they killed young men despite they did not participate in fighting, and he mentioned that there were 80 families mainly women and children who did not left the area have been missing and no one knew anything about them.

Miriam Salameh, an artist from Wadi al-Nasara, expressed her sincere sorrow for what had happened in the Crusader Castle and said : “Shabiha from the area who celebrated for occupying the castle, have crucified the Christ another time, and even they danced on his blood”

“for the first time in my life I feel ashamed to be from Wadi al-Nasara, and what had happen in al-Hosn Castle is literally a sad tragedy, the regime and its Shabiha have long planed to occupy the Castle because of its strategic importance, and sadly they succeeded in achieving that, with the help of stupid people in Wadi al-Nasara” the artist said sadly. She added that she did not mean all people in Wadi al-Nasara, as many of people refuse and deprecate what happened in al-Hosn village and Shabiha’s practices, but they could not expressed their feeling due to threatening of arrest if they unjustified what had been going on.

Miriam Salameh added: “we have been living with people in al-Hosn village for ages in loving and comfortable mutual relationships, however; sadly groups of devious people had come to divide people and provoke sectarian hostility and to defame Wadi al-nasara”

It worth mentioning that Zaman Alwasl considers this report with others about al-Hosn village and Crusader Castle, in regard to the practices of Syrian regime and its Shabiha in the village, as a documentary to show the regime’s plans to demographically change the area and displace its people who counted 30 thousand before the revolution.

Zaman Alwasl calls for honest and educated people from Wadi al-Nasara to document the regime and it Shabiha’s practices and to face the conspiracy aiming to religiously divide people and cause disagreement and hostility between Christians and Muslims. Translation by Yusra Ahmed
