Translation by Dani Murad| Deir al-Zor, Syria's richest oil province is witnessing a sharp tribal tension due to the imminent danger coming from the south of Hasakah province which is represented by ISIS after taking control of number of cities and towns in the Northern countryside of Deir al-Zor, according to sources.
ISIS’s threat forced the clans to take fateful decisions, including shedding the blood of anyone who deals or pledges allegiance with ISIS, and massing reinforcements to face ISIS’s expected attacks on villages and cities of Deir al-Zor from (Al Soor) district and Markadah town.
Villagers of Al hawayej and Raghib farm, issued a statement to shed the blood of any collaborators with Daesh especially after the attack on the city of Abu Kamal, and stressed on the blood pledge of allegiance made between Al Okeidat tribe and people of the region to counter the enemy (Daesh) and its followers and Rafidis.
The statement states, "ISIS betrayed and stabbed rebels in their backs in the liberated areas of Deir al-Zor, especially in Mrkadeh, which served the regime in lessening pressure on its forces in other battle fronts of the city.
The statement denounced the conditions imposed by ISIS on people who want to “repent “for their fighting, including handing over the light and heavy weapons to the organization and not fighting the regime in any front without the permission of the so-called State of Iraq and the Levant.
However, senior tribal figures strongly denied to Zaman Alwasl what have been circulating through media and considered the news of their statement of” blood shedding and mobilizing forces” as unfounded interpretations.
On the other hand, Zaman Alwasl was informed by its sources that the organization seems to fall apart due the withdrawal of many Syrian fighters who returned to their families, without ISIS’s knowledge.
The sources confirmed that many fighters have begun to re-consider their situation and secretly left the organization for good, under excuses of communicating with their families, and dozens fighters are expected to defect this week and major developments will take place within ISIS’s body.
The flow of foreign fighters is almost non-existent because of the decline of Daesh influence in Syria and its presence has only been limited to Marakdah, as well as to some operations on the Turkish borders. According to sources
It’s noteworthy that since the beginning of this month, ISIS lunched many attacks on the town and cities of the province of Deir al-Zor in conjunction with regime’s attacks on the airport and some neighborhoods of city.
The Islamic State has reportedly "changed the course of the Syrian war" and during its battles with rebels, it killed double the number killed by the regime, and committed masseurs against the rebels who had fallen in the hands of its soldiers.
In a
near incident, ISIS is reported to have killed Abu Muhammad al Ansari, the
leader of al-Nusrah Front in Idlib province.
ISIS or Daesh has focused since the beginning of the Syrian revolution on consolidating its control over large parts of territory primarily in the north of the country rather than fighting on the front lines or coordinating with armed opposition groups
