Othman Bdaiwi, minister of Local administration and refugee affairs, denied all accusations of Mohamed Yahya Maktabi, the Coalition member, in his complaint against the Minister.
In his respond to the complaints, the Minister presented before the Coalition and the Interim Government, he requested Maktabi to be more accurate in his accusation and wished he had come to him first to clarify the problem and the truth.
The Minister detailed the problem saying: “we in the Ministry of Local Administration (MOLA), relief and refugee affair have regulatory and institutional relationships with the local councils to help us in cooperating with people. I took a decision to employ 10 thousand persons from inside Syria to enable the Ministry to do its job. Later, a man from Damascus countryside came to me requesting a job, unfortunately it was at the time when the interim Prime Minister took a decision to hold employing temporarily, which forced me to apologize for him, that outraged him and he threatened of gathering 200 people to demonstrate to overthrow the Coalition and the Government”
The Minister reported that he replied to that man saying: “it would be better to overthrow the regime in same time, which make the man calm down and apologize, the problem finished there”
On the other hand, the complaints that Zaman Alwasl had a copy of, mentioned that the Minister threatened of tearing off any suggestion come from Damascus countryside besides not employing anyone from Damascus countryside.
Maktabi requested to withdraw confidence from the Minister, as he said those statements in front of witnesses.
In His complaints, Maktabi mentioned the incidence when the Minister confronted with Zaman Alwasl reporter describing the Syrian people of not having any revolutionary awareness and they are not loyal to their country. However the Minister retracted his statement and apologized from Syrian people via Zaman Alwasl.
Bdaiwi confirmed that he accepts constructive critic that help in stimulating and improve work.
He mentioned his achievement and sacrifices he gave for the revolution as he gave all his wealth for the sake of Syrian people.
It was reported before that the Minister had provoked a rebel from al-Ghout when the later requested support, when Bdaiwi told him: “if you did not abide by our rules like Aleppo and Idlib, you will not receive a penny from the government’s money.”
